Art Book Making

When  Matteo Ricci, the Italian missioner first arrived ancient China, he bought beautiful religious books printed with letterpress which bound beautifully with leather cover and golden edges. He knew that the books couldn't be read by the Chinese. But he thought that the delicacy of the book designs remarked that he came from a place with adorable culture. Much Chinese becomes believer nowadays. I feel there is the same logic behind Art and Religion. We need beautiful books indeed.
